Director of Operations
Most of Ryan’s work is now done behind the scenes, overseeing the practice’s operations, processes, and products. He began his career as an advisor, and while he still serves a select group of clients, his long-time knowledge of the practice and passion for improving systems serve the team well in his role as Director of Operations. He is constantly looking for ways to improve the practice by fine-tuning processes or implementing new initiatives.
Ryan has worked with Ron and John since 2008, and he serves as an executive partner, taking on complex projects and high-level decision-making so they can focus on their work in serving clients while also prudently growing the company.
Areas of Focus
Ryan’s overarching objective is to enhance the client experience, and he does this by continually reviewing the practice’s processes and systems. As he does so, he looks for ways to save the advisors’ time (allowing them to build stronger relationships), make things simpler for clients, and highlight the unique value the firm offers. With his analytical approach and experience in several areas of the business, he has a keen eye for addressing inefficiencies and identifying ways to improve. He especially loves getting to the root of complex issues and developing creative solutions that benefit both the NoxNumis team and their clients.
Education & Background
Ryan graduated from Wichita State with a degree in finance, knowing he wanted to pursue a career in the industry. As a student, he joined John’s (his brother-in-law) practice in an administrative role, during which time he earned his life and health licenses. Soon, he started meeting with clients and officially became a fully licensed advisor in 2010. He loved educating people and helping them discover what was best for their situation and goals, and as the practice grew, he looked for ways he could enhance their experience on a larger scale. As he helped John and Ron improve procedures, he shifted his role to that of Director of Operations, focusing on ways to elevate client service and their experience from every angle.
Ryan and his family live in Maize, where they enjoy the slower pace and friendly small-town atmosphere. He and his wife Alli have three young boys—Liam, Jase (twins), and Sutton. They enjoy hanging out as a family, whether they’re swimming, having movie nights, or taking trips together. In his spare time, Ryan also enjoys hunting, especially out at his grandmother’s farm.
